3 . Leaky Ducts:
The Green HomeTeam recommends that all plenum and duct seams be sealed with mastic paste (nottape), and all cracks be repaired. We often see duct work that is built in to the ceiling cavity. In these cases we recommend adding ductcomponents to separate the duct from the cavity. We also ascertain whether the ducts were sized correctly to your home’s heating and cooling system, accordingto ACCA. If you have any exposed ductwork in your attic or crawlspace, we provide recommendations for proper insulation.
